This is the cream I was telling you about. I highly recommend it to anyone that experiences road rash. It says it helps with cuts, scrapes, burns, skin irritations. Thanks Rhonda for this great salve. It has helped Brax so much!

Braxton and I went on a little field trip to Capitol Reef on Tuesday. At first I didn't want to go but I am glad I did. In this picture Braxton had answered a question right and the prize was that he got to use the shovel and gloves. The guy had the kids with the shovels help irrigate the peach land and Braxton loved it! We got to take a tour of the Fruita school house. Braxton had taken the camera away from me so this is the only picture he took. It was really cute in the classroom. The kids acted out how it would have been back in 1937. Braxton's part was a "smart alec" remark, so he and one other boy had to go to the front of the classroom and put their noses on the blackboard and wear Dunce hats. I wish I would have got a picture but unfortunately Brax had the camera in his pocket.
There was a man that did pottery demonstrations. Brax snuck over and took this picture. The guy was pretty interesting and taught the kids that they should vacuum for their parents. We had a hard time following what the guy was talking about all the time but he did make some nice pottery bowls and such.
Braxton thought he would be cute and take a picture of his mom. This was at lunch and he surprised me. I told him I was the one that was supposed to be taking pictures and he just chuckled!
While we were at one of the demonstrations my friend Rhonda was telling me about some cream to put on Braxton's sore leg. She said her dad used it and swore that it would help him. She said she didn't know where to find it but as we were walking through the little store she found it. I bought it and put it on his leg and look how much better it looks!
I am so glad that I was able to go on this field trip with Braxton. It seems like I learn something new about my son every time I get some time like this with him. He is such a good boy and always puts others feelings before his. He has such a big heart and I am so thankful to call him my son! Thanks Tevita for telling the school I would go, and thanks Braxton for being such a good kid and wanting me there. The pears were great, the lessons were great, the friendships are great, and the healing cream is great! I love you Brax!

Celebration and Such

This is our September birthdays. Lia is on the 11th. Sydnei is on the 15th and Dad is on the 13th. We got together for a little celebration. We made tacos and had birthday cake and ice cream. It is always good to get together with family. Braxton got in a bicycle accident two weeks ago. He went on a 2 mile ride with scouts and this is how he came home. It is infected and I am trying to get it un-infected. He is soaking in a bath of epson salt as we speak.

This is Lia showing Sydnei her Hannah Montana birthday cake. Lia loves little Syd and they had a great time together.
Last week there was not much happening. We have been trying to get Braxton's leg healed and we aren't having much success. I started Weight Watchers. Last week I lost 7lbs. Not much but at least a loss. Tevita took his football to a small town in Nevada on Friday. They lost but they played really well. It was a long trip (6 hours) and my husband came back sick. Now we are trying to get him feeling better. This week is pretty busy so hopefully I will get to blog about it in a few days. Congratulations to our brother and sister-in-law, Pita and Mele, for the birth of their new son! We can't wait to meet him!

I love you Mom

This picture is the last Mother's Day I had with my mom.

This is at the cemetary the day we buried her.
This is her family. Isn't she beautiful in that picture with my dad? The picture of the newborn baby is Sydnei. She was born September 15th, we think Mom went to help Syd make it here alive. Long story I'll get into later.
This post might bore a lot of you so please feel free to ignore it. I just need to post this for journal purposes. Today, September 14 is the anniversary of loosing my best friend. Not a good day for me. I have tried to be strong and not cry but I just can't help it. I loved that lady so much. Ever since she has been gone there is an emptiness in my heart. Growing up a girl in a small town was very hard. There was drama all the time. There was cliques and if you didn't have the right name or the right body you just didn't fit in. I had some friends that I could trust but mostly the only person that I could truly talk to was my mom. She was my best friend. While the "cool" kids were having their parties or get togethers I was with my mom in Richfield hanging out with her and Grandma and Aunt D. Whenever I had a problem she was the person I went to. She was the rock of my life. She was the one person that I knew I could count on no matter what. When I got the call from her that said that she couldn't walk and could I come home from Snow to help her get out of bed I knew that was the beginning of her suffering. How she stayed strong through all the pain she was in I'll never know. How she could keep a smile on her face and tell me everything was ok I'll never know. She had so much faith. She knew that she would be reunited with Grandma and lived her life so that she would make it to the "top"! Near the end of her life we would have talks about how it was going to be without her. She once told me that she would never leave me and no matter how bad I missed her I just had to remember that she would be watching over me. She told me that I would find comfort in my dreams because whenever she missed Grandma too much she would have dreams of her. She told me no matter what I had to stay strong for my kids and remind them everyday how much she loved them. She told me that it would seem like forever before I get to see her again but to her it would be just minutes. She told me to always stay true to the Church and live so that I will be able to see her again. So Mom, I hope you are watching over me. I hope that I am keeping my promises to you. I hope you are no longer in pain and that Heaven is everything we think it is. I hope that I will be able to be as strong as you were and I hope that I can be the kind of mom you were. I miss you more than I can explain. My heart hurts and longs for your hug. But for you I am trying to be strong. I pick up the phone and dial your number and then it hits me that you won't pick up. Then I say a prayer and ask Heavenly Father to tell you hi and I love you. Thank you for being the kind of mom you were. Thank you for being my best friend and always loving me even though I was a brat. Thank you for being the kind of grandma you were. You made an impact on my kids lives and I will forever be grateful for that. Thank you for taking care of my boys in heaven. I know they are with you and that is what comforts me. I love you mom and I miss you so much!

Happy Birthday Lia!!!

Today is Sisilia's birthday! She turned seven years old. I can't believe she is already seven. So, here are seven things we love about her:
1. We love that she was strong enough to make it. Her pregnancy was so hard and we really didn't know if she would make it and it took every prayer and so much TLC for her to make it but she did and we are so grateful for our "little miracle"!
2. Her willingness to help anybody in need. She has such a strong heart and thinks about everybody.
3. Her love. She loves unconditionally. She has the biggest heart and loves with all her heart. Today she said,"I hope Spencer is having a Happy Birthday with Grandma. I wish he were here with me but at least he is with her." She is always thinking about him and loves him so much!(Spencer is her twin)
4. Her smile. Isn't it contagious? You can't help but smile when she gives you that great big smile of hers!
5. Her eyes. You can tell a lot about Lia by looking at her eyes. Sometimes she is very quiet and I have to look at her eyes to see what she is thinking.
6. Her willingness to help. She almost never tells me no. Whatever I need she will do. Today I asked Pola to do something and Pola didn't do it right away. Lia said, "mom, I'll do it." I told her no, it is her birthday and I didn't want her to do anything but enjoy. She said, "Mom, I'll enjoy my day especially if I can help you!"
7. What's not to love about Lia? She is such a great girl. She is so smart. She is so beautiful. She is the kind of girl that you just want to be around. She can tell a great story! She can make you forget your troubles. She can make you smile!:) Today when I dropped all her ice cream cone cupcakes and ended up taking Fun Dips for her classmates, she just smiled and said, "That's ok Mom. At least you made it!" She is so laid back and easy to please! Happy Birthday Sis! We love you so much and wish you many more happy birthdays!

Leotard

The girls and I were downstairs cleaning their room and I just overheard a little bit of the conversation. So, I asked "what are you guys talking about?" Lia said, "Mom, tell her not to call it a Polatard!" I said, "what?" and Pola said, "Mommy, if Lia can have a leotard(liatard) then why can't I have a polatard?" I laughed so hard that I was crying! The girls had been asking me to buy them new dance outfits for their hip hop class and I guess Pola had been asking for a polatard! I just had to write this down real quick so I wouldn't forget this story!

TRADITION - SPIRIT - HONOR

Emotional

Last night was a pretty interesting night for me. I had got the kids to bed and was just trying to get Mehi to sleep when at around 9:00pm my brother called. I knew something was wrong because he doesn't call me late at night because he knows I am getting my kids to bed. He asked me what was going on in Koosharem. I told him nothing and then he said for me to look outside. So, I went to the scrapbook room and looked out the window and there was flashing lights at the ranch. I can't get into detail of what happened but I will tell you that it wasn't a great experience. I hung up with Justin and called the ranch and asked the lady who answers the phone if she was ok and she said yes. Then the tears came and I asked if Tevita was ok. She told me yes but to know that he wouldn't be home for quite a long time and he would tell me when he got home. So, I kept in touch with Justin (who was listening to the scanner) and talked with the ladies in the Primary Presidency with me. What I realized is that if there was a true emergency and I needed to evacuate I wouldn't really know where to begin. All I could think was here I am with my four sleeping children and my husband is at work and can't leave. Not a great feeling!!! I talked with Jen(my really good friend that I am so thankful for) and she said, "Well, now you know what your family home evening on Monday should be about!" It was a real eye opener for me and in a way I am glad that it happened. I will definitely start living my life in a more prepared way!
Today when I dropped Sipola off I saw Jen and she asked me to go to the cafe. It was good to get out of the house, even if for just a little bit. I got a little emotional at the cafe because we started to talk about pregnancy and it is kind of hard for me especially this month to know that if the babies would have made it they would be here now. Jen has a cute little 6 month old and Crystal's son just turned 1 today so being there with those little darlings made me a little sad. I held Jen's baby and Jen asked me if I was ok holding her. I turned out ok holding her and I know that Heavenly Father needed my boys more than I do, I just miss them. I find myself thinking about the "what ifs" and it brings tears to my eyes everytime. I thought I was all healed but I think my heart still hurts. Then I was talking to Braxton's scout leader and we got talking about the lack of willingness of our ward for callings. She said something that really makes sense. She said that we need the best of the best in the primary because that is where our children learn the most. I told her that I don't think people realize how much of an impact they have on our children. Just the other day Mehi was getting ready and she said, "Mommy, do you think Allison will like my hair? Do you think she will think it is pretty? Allison is the nursery leader and also Braxton's scout leader. It just made me think that even though we might not know it, people really do look at us and we are examples to others. Allison also pointed out that these are the people that are helping to teach our daughters how to be mothers(the achievement day leaders). What we do and what we say really does matter. I have felt an overwhelming sense of love that our Heavenly Father has for us in the last couple of days. I have found myself getting so emotional over the silliest little things but I have realized that we really are living this life in order to please the Lord. If we put Him first in everything we do, He will bless us. I hope that I will be able to be better at this and try harder to put other people first. I do miss my boys and I wish they would have made it. But I do love my 4 beautiful kids that I have here and I need to be the best I can for them. I hope this is making sense to people...and I hope that my friends and family know how much I love and appreciate each and everyone of you!

Football

We love football season at our house! Braxton's dream is to play for BYU and then for the Philadelphia Eagles. We encourage him everyday and hope that his dream will come true. He told me once that he would build me and his dad a house in Koosharem but it would have to be big enough for him and his sisters to be able to come home all the time. He told me that he would spend every minute of the off season in Koosharem instead of staying in Philadelphia! He also said that when he makes it to the NFL the first thing he would buy is a limo so the limo could go to LA to pick up Grandma Lita and bring her home. He is always looking out for other people and we love him so much for that! Before the football game the girls started dance lessons. They are so excited to be doing Hip Hop this year! When we got home from the game my sister called and she was trying to help me with my blog. She is so stinkin smart so she is who I turn to to help me with anything on the computer. Anyways, we were talking and she started crying and said, "Jodi, I just deleted the last six months of your life." I don't know what happened but she somehow deleted our blog(or so we thought). So, after about an hour and a half trying to get my blog back, I told her to hang up and say a prayer and call me back if she could fix it. I said a prayer and then tried to put Mehi to sleep. She called back about 5 minutes later and said that she had got the blog back! I was so happy. What I realized is that the blog is the only place that I documented anything about my twins. I was devestated to think I had lost it. So, this little incident taught Jaquel and I both something. Today I am taking time to copy all my blog to Word and I am also going to try and print it out so I will have a hard copy. Just a little advice to all you bloggers...make a second copy so you won't have to panic like I did! Today Brax has scouts at 5 and other than that we are just having a cleaning and laundry day. Surprise Surprise:). Hope all is well with everybody!

Labor Day

So today is Labor Day. Tevita and Toni are working the day shift. I will be working the 3-11 shift and the kids are being kids. Dad called and he is coming to pick up Braxton to go hunting. So Brax and Lia have been getting ready to go hunting and are anxiously waiting the arrival of Dad. Lia is in high hopes that if she is all ready maybe Grandpa will take her but I'm thinking it is going to be a boy day. Sipola and Mehi have had radio disney on most of the morning and are dancing and singing and having a great time! The weather has turned cold. I have wore a hoodie the last two nights to work and I will be wearing one again today. It's not quite the bitter cold yet but I'm sure it will soon be here. We have received a lot of rain, which is nice, but I'm not so sure that I am ready for winter again so soon! Anyways, happy labor day and I'll blog again soon!

About Me

My photo
Tevita and I met 13 years ago in Provo Utah. What a cutie he was! In June we will have been married for 12 years. It is hard to believe that we have been married that long but yep, here we are coming up on 12. We have 5 beautiful children that keep us pretty busy. We also have 3 angel baby boys that we know we will be with after this life. We have so many different personalities in this house but there is one thing for sure...we love each other and are grateful for this family! What a great life!
