Another Tevon post

OK, here is another Tevon post. He is trying to suck his thumb/fist. We are trying to get him not to do that! It is easy to cut the end of a pacifier off but we cant cut his finger off. So, this is the result of us trying to have him use only the pacifier!! Oh, and just a couple other cute pictures!

Red Car

We took our Yukon down to St. George to get fixed last weekend. Vita went to pick up the rental car and called us when he was on his way to get us. Braxton asked him what he was driving and he told him he would just have to wait and see. Well, we waited a minute and then we saw this bright red car pulling up to get us. All of the kids booed (I hope that is how you spell it) and said they didn't want that car. Lia said, "There is no way we can be seen in that car!" Braxton said he would have to duck down when we drop him off at school and the little girls just hated it! It was a nice car but we were so glad to take it back yesterday! By the way, yes, we did get harrassed for driving a red car!

We are bakers!

So Braxton has pack meeting tonight. I asked Nancy to give me her peanut butter bar recipe. I practiced yesterday just in case they didn't turn out well. They didn't turn out well. Nancy forgot to give me the complete recipe so they didn't taste so good. So, this morning we had to try again. As we were making them Halamehi says to me, "Mommy, we are bakers huh!" I told her, "I guess" and she said, "Bakers don't give up. They keep trying and trying until they get it right!" Well Mehi, at least we will try. Who knows what they are going to turn out like but at least we are trying!

Tevon is 3 months old!

So hard to believe our little man is 3 months old now! He weighs 13 lbs. He is growing so fast. He is getting to the point that he doesn't like to lay down. When we put him down, he tries lifting his head. He is still the center of attention and his siblings are still fighting over him. I thought that would change by now but not yet! We love you little buddy!

Thankful for what we have

My new car has been having troubles. This is the second time it has happened. When I go to start it, it wont start. Then I wait for 3 days and it will start again using the different key. I'm sure it is a security thing, but I don't know exactly how my warranty works and I don't want to have to pay a lot of money so I am trying to get it figured out. Also, my laundry room pipes are still frozen. My husband is doing all the laundry because I am a weakling and can't lift the heavy buckets full of water out. It is not such an easy task but we are still able to do the laundry. You might wonder why I am even talking about this. Well, it is to say that I am having some hard times right now but I still have a house. I still have heat. I still have my 5 beautiful children with me everyday and I know where they are and that they are safe. I still have the opportunity to blog. I still have a job. I am still able to go to school. I still have my wonderful husband sleeping next to me every night. I am still able to pick up the phone and call my dad and brother and sister and tell them that I love them. We are still able to call Vita's parents and tell them that we love them. We are so blessed even though our cars wont start and we have frozen pipes. Every time I turn on the TV or the computer I am looking at pictures of Haiti. They already had such a hard time, and now this earthquake happens. One of my very close friends adopted such a beautiful little boy from Haiti. I love this little boy and was so happy for her when he came into their lives. I can't stop thinking about them now and what they are going through as a family. I hope she knows that my family and I are praying for them. I hope that his Haitian mom is ok. I hope that all their Haitian Roots kids are ok. I hope that she is ok and her heart wont hurt too bad, which I know it is. I hope that we can get a lot of help sent there for these people. I am so sorry that they are going through this. It really makes my little problems seem less of problems. We could be so much worse off and I am thankful that we aren't. Heather, please know that we are praying for them and if there is anything we can do, please don't hesitate to ask.

Family

My intentions were to get caught up on my blogging today. However, Tevon is having other plans for me:) Here are a few of our recent family pictures. I will be posting a lot more pictures and posts in the very near future. However, for now I must go take care of this beautiful little boy who thinks he is hungry!:)

About Me

My photo
Tevita and I met 13 years ago in Provo Utah. What a cutie he was! In June we will have been married for 12 years. It is hard to believe that we have been married that long but yep, here we are coming up on 12. We have 5 beautiful children that keep us pretty busy. We also have 3 angel baby boys that we know we will be with after this life. We have so many different personalities in this house but there is one thing for sure...we love each other and are grateful for this family! What a great life!
