Kids Sacrament Program

Sunday was the Primary Sacrament Program. The kids looked so beautiful and they did such a great job on their parts. They made Tevita and I so proud. This was also Tevon's first time to church so we took some cute pictures. Kids, Mommy and Daddy love you so much and are so very proud of you and all you do! Ofa atu!

My Birthday

I woke up yesterday morning and took a shower. When I got out of the shower I walked into the room and there was my beautiful family all singing Happy Birthday to me. They were so sweet! Then we all spent the rest of the day together enjoying each other and having a great day. We stopped by the hospital to see Jaquel and the baby, Tevita gave the baby a blessing, and then we just spent the rest of the day together. It was such a good birthday and I am so thankful for a husband that knows exactly what I need and was willing to do that for me. I love you all and thank you so much for the great birthday!!

Baby Carter

My little sister just gave birth to a beautiful little boy on Monday November 16th. He was due in late December (I'm not sure exact date). She had moved home to be close to Dr. Brown. She went to see him(Dr. Brown) and he told her it would be best for her to go up north to see a specialist. Thank Heaven he sent her when he did. She was suffering from severe pre-eclampsyia and wasn't doing very well. They admitted her on Friday and she had him on Monday. It was really hard for me to see my little sister in that position. She was so weak and couldn't even open her eyes at one point in time. She was so tired and just didn't feel good. She was in a lot of pain and one point in time she said to me, "Jodi, I just don't want to die. What if I die?" I told her she wasn't going to die and that everything was going to work out...she just needed to have faith in the blessings that she had received. On Monday I stayed with her until about 4:00pm. I told her I needed to go feed Tevon and I would be back by 6:00pm. Well, while I was out eating and feeding Tevon Ralph texted me and told me that they were going to have him. So, I dropped Tevita and the kids off at the hotel and before I even got to the hospital(3 blocks) I got the first picture of my little nephew. He weighed 2 lbs 9 oz and was 15 1/2 inches long. He is doing so great! He hasn't even had to have any oxygen on. He is under the bili lights and not liking to eat but other than that he is doing great. Ralph and Jaquel are doing well. I'm so proud of all of them and can't wait until they can bring the little guy home! Love you guys!

Tevon is 2 weeks old!

Yesterday I took Tevon down to the doctor for his 2 week check up. He now weighs 7 1/2 lbs and is 20 3/4 inches long. His head is 14 but I don't remember what his head was when he was born(I don't think they told us). He is growing really well and is still the center of attention! The girls now time each other so they are all getting equal amounts of time holding him. I hope they are like this when he is in his terrible twos! Mehi of course wants to be in all the pictures with her little brother. She is so cute with him. She just likes to kiss him and take pictures with him...she doesn't really like to hold him. I had to put this picture of Vita with Tevon. I often find him looking at him like this. I wonder what he is thinking? I never ask him because I just enjoy the moment! I love you all!

I posted this post in a different site so I decided to copy and paste it to the blog so I would have it...I had our little boy on Saturday October 24th at 9:07 pm. I went into the hospital at 7am to be induced and had to wait until 3:00pm before they actually started the pitocin. I had to wait because there was another mommy trying to have a baby so they made me wait until she was done. When I got there she was at a 9 so they thought she would hurry and deliver and then I would get started. Well, after the whole day of her pushing and me getting antsy they finally decided to give her a c-section. So, at three they started me on my first dose. I was dilated to a 5. At 6:00 I decided to get the epidural. I was really torn about it because I knew that my blood pressure was going to go down but I decided I needed to get it so it would be a happy experience for me and my husband. The guy came to give me my epidural and he hurt me so bad! I have never felt anything like it. He kept poking me in this one spot but couldn't get it to go in. I told him probably because of my scar tissue from my other epidurals and I told him to stop, that I would just deal with the pain. He then decided to go down a notch and it worked. My blood pressure went to 60/40 so my nurse sat me up. I also had a fever which wasn't helping me feel good. After the epidural the doctor checked me and I was at a 7 and a little bit later the doctor came in and checked and I was ready to push. The baby was facing to the right and he kept trying to come out by my tail bone so I had to push a little longer than with my other kids. I pushed a total of 7 pushes and out came our beautiful little Tevon Jarod. He was perfect and so worth the wait. He scored a 9 and a 9 on his apgars and he weighed 6 lbs 14 oz and was born at 9:07pm(6 hours total labor). We are so thankful to have this little addition to our family. The picture of the kids outside is because they weren't allowed in the hospital room to see him so they had to meet him for the first time through the outside window. They were good sports though:)
