Baby teaser
OK you guys. Tevita put the little teaser up on Monday and we have had several phone calls, blog comments, and texts. We were not going to say anything for awhile because quite frankly I have been a nervous wreck! On April 3rd the twins would have been turning one. Can you believe it? I have been so sick and the kids have been wondering what is going on with their mom. I have known for a little bit that I am going to have a baby but I just haven't wanted to say anything. I'm not trying to be rude by not telling people, I am just so nervous about loosing another one that I have just kept it between me and Vita. On Monday we went to the doctor and he sent us for an ultrasound on Wednesday. I was shaking so bad that I couldn't control it when I went in. The last time I was there I saw my baby boys not breathing and without a heart beat. I was so nervous. The tech looked around for a minute and then told me to hold my breath. Right after that she got the heart beat and it was 153. And the good news is that there is only one baby!!! I immediately started crying and was so thankful for good news. I still have to take it really easy. In the past I have lost the babies at about 20 weeks so I am afraid until then I will be nervous. But I'm trying to be positive and relying a lot on Tevita to keep me sane through this. He always tells me that things happen for a reason, so I'm just hoping and praying that this reason will stay alive! I'm sorry to my friends that I have lost touch with over the last couple of months. I have pretty much been in bed or throwing up. I get horrible sickness and I am trying really hard to keep food down. The kids are doing great and are there to hold my hair back while I am throwing up. They are also praying every night that the baby will be ok and be able to be a part of our earthly family. Please keep us in your prayers...we are going to need them. Oh, by the way, the baby is due on November 11th (my brothers birthday).

Meeting baby

OK guys, sorry that there was only one picture and no explanation. Tevita loaded the picture but he doesn't like to post so here I am editing. On Tuesday we left Koosharem at 4:00pm to go meet Pita's wife and son. They are in Salt Lake City for a wedding and we had never met them before so we headed up. (Pita is Tevita's brother). We got there at about 7:00pm and had a blast visiting and getting to know them. I know I won't spell the baby's name right so I will just call him little Kafa since Kafa is part of his name. Anyways we stayed for about an hour and a half and he fell asleep and the kids loved meeting him. Mehi kept asking Auntie Mele if we could bring the baby home with us. It was good meeting them and look forward to spending more time with them while they are here!

Braxton's Knee

Today Tevita, Mehi, and I were heading to Richfield. We got half way there and got a call from Koosharem Elementary saying that Braxton had been in an accident and needed to go to the hospital. We turned around and went to get him. When we got there Mr. T said that he will need stitches and that he was getting ready to take him himself. So, we headed to Richfield to the ER. When we got there (1:00pm) they told us, "We aren't going to check him in until about 3:00pm so you might want to go somewhere else." I said, "Why" and they said, "We have somebody in the trauma room and an ambulance coming in so we won't even check him in for a couple of hours." Tevita and I were so frustrated. There were three nurses just standing around talking and they would not check us in. What is an ER for?? So, I had Tevita stop at the clinic to see if we could get Dr. Brown to fix him. They told us to come back at 2:00pm (after their lunch) and he could fix him. So, we went back and Dr. Brown fixed him right up! Dr. Brown asked Brax, "Braxton, when you become a NFL player will you send me some tickets?" Braxton said, "Yep, I'm gonna send all the old people some tickets!" Good thing Dr. Brown had already given him the shot!!! So, we had an eventful day and he has to be on an antibiotic and tylenol. He is hurting now and I hate to see him in pain. By the way, the cut was 3 inches long and has 16 stitches in it.

Tevita
I saw this on somebody's blog and thought it was cute so I thought I would do it for my husband:)
1. He's sitting in front of the TV, what is on the screen? Football, Football, Football. If not then ESPN.
2. You're out to eat; what kind of dressing does he get on his salad? He doesn't really like salad. He thinks it's for rabbits. But if he does get one, then he orders ranch.
3. What's one food he doesn't like? He will not eat olives or pickles. I didn't know that before we got married and one day my mom and I thought we were being so nice so we made him a bunch of tuna fish sandwiches and put pickles on them. We also took him some olives and carrots to dip in ranch. Boy were we so wrong. He ate the sandwiches just to be nice though.
4. You go out to eat and have a drink. What does he order? Diet Dr. Pepper or Diet Coke
5. Where did he go to high school? Liahona in Tonga
6. What size shoe does he wear? 12
7. If he was to collect anything, what would it be? Rugby shirts
8. What is his favorite type of sandwich? Grilled tuna and cheese. Don't think he has eaten many of them since mom passed away. She used to make them for him for lunch all the time. He loved them!
9. What would this person eat every day if he could? Any kind of Tongan food:)
10. What is his favorite cereal? He loves Golden Puffs
11. What would he never wear? Cowboy boots
12. What is his favorite sports team? BYU Cougars
13. Who did he vote for? Didn't vote
14. Who is his best friend? Me I think :)
15. What is something you do that he wishes you wouldn't do? Make low self esteem comments
16. You bake him a cake for his birthday; what kind of cake? White cake with chocolate frosting or german chocolate
17. Did he play sports in high school? Yes
18. What could he spend hours doing? Sleeping, playing with the kids, reading scriptures, playing sports
19. What is one unique talent he has? He can make anybody laugh. He can also give talks without writing anything down. He also has a way of making Sipola calm right down. Whenever she is struggling she wants her best friend so I have to call him to talk to her.
20. What is his dream car? I don't think he has one. He just always talks about having something nice to take his family in.
I love you Tevita. I hope you are not embarrassed about this. I just thought it would be nice to have written down!

Kids

Today we were in Richfield and the kids were talking. They were telling me about how Grandma Lita was telling them who they should marry. I asked who and they said that she wants them to marry Tongans and MJ to marry a white guy. I told them they would marry whoever they fell in love with, no matter what color or culture. Braxton said, "Don't you think I'm a little young to be talking about marriage?" I said, "Yes, you are absolutely too young to be talking about marriage." He said, "good, but while we are talking about it let me just tell you that I hope whoever I marry isn't a vegetarian!" I said, "what????" and he said, "No way mom, I know somebody that is a vegetarian and his wife cooks meat for him and she hates it and so he doesn't get much meat, and you know I need my meat!!!" I just laughed and said, "well, lets hope whoever she is isn't a vegetarian!" What a kid, at least his priorities are straight!

Tongan Family

Well, we took my in-laws to the airport yesterday. It was very tough. We had family prayer in the morning which started the tears. Then the trip to Salt Lake. We had to make some stops along the way so we could get some more stuff for them to take. The girls got creative at one of the spots and decided to relax on all the boxes. Once we got to the airport we were so lucky to have a Tongan lady checking us in. She was so helpful and let some of our bags go that weighed more than 50lbs. She had to get them a different flight than planned because the flights were all delayed so they ended up going to San Francisco instead of LA. We were in such a big hurry because of the flight changes so there wasn't much time for C-ya laters. We gave them hugs and kisses and told them to come back soon. As they were going through security Braxton yelled and said, "See ya later Grandpa". It took me back to the last time Grandpa came here and Braxton couldn't stop crying. This was just the same. He didn't want Grandpa to go and was sad and crying for most of the trip. We sure are going to miss them. I know they are happy to be back home but our house just isn't the same without them. Tevita told our kids that when they get older and try to move away, they have to live close to us so we don't have to go through good byes with them. They all said they would so let's mark that on the books! Anyways, thank you to Fine and Makalita and MJ for coming to stay with us. You will never know how much we appreciate you and love you. We are going to miss you so much and can't wait until you come back! Ofa atu!

Braxton and Lia

On Saturday morning we were supposed to be getting ready for Madisyn's baptism. Well, some little drama happened and Tevita and I spent some time with Braxton and Lia trying to help them. They were arguing and I tried talking to both of them. Then I brought Lia in and questioned her to find out what was truly going on. Lia got those great big alligator tears and told me that she was upset that Braxton wasn't going to go to school today(Monday). Brax hadn't been to school on Wed, Thurs, Fri because he has been so sick. So he told Lia that he wasn't going to go to school on Monday or Tuesday. I asked Lia why she was so upset about that. She said, "Mommy, Braxton is my best friend and I really don't like it when he's not in school." Then the tears came. I asked Lia if she told Brax that and she said,"He doesn't know." So I called Braxton in and asked him if he knew the reason why Lia was so upset. He thought it was because he had called her a name. I told him the real reason and then he started to cry. He told her that he would go to school even if he was still sick. Tevita and I both told Brax how important his calling of being an older brother is and that there was a reason he was born first. This all brought tears to my eyes. How grateful I am that my kids get to experience this bond. My brother, Justin, was my best friend also. Some days I don't think he knew it because I was such a brat, but knowing that I was going to see him in the halls and knowing he was there to protect me helped me get through. When I found out that I was pregnant with Braxton, I was really nervous to tell Justin. I wanted him to have the first grandchild. Then when I found out Brax was a boy, I was upset just because I knew how bad my brother wanted a son and especially the first grandson. Justin just gave me a big hug and told me that he would treat Brax just like he was his own and I should be very thankful that I was getting to have a boy. There is not a day go by that I don't thank Heavenly Father for the males in my life. How grateful I am to have been able to grow up with my brother as my best friend. How grateful I am that my dad always treated me like one of the boys, hunting, fishing, going to the coffee shop with him. How grateful I am to been so blessed with the husband that I have, the great example he is to me and my children. And how blessed I am to have a son named Braxton. I often wonder why Brax is my only living son. I am so thankful for his kind spirit to come to this earth and be a big brother to these little girls. He talks about his brothers almost daily and wishes so much that they were here. When Lia was crying Brax said, "If Spencer were here, he would probably beat me up for making his twin cry." I am so thankful for this little experience that Brax and Lia went through. I hope and pray that they will always stay close and be able to have a tight relationship like I have been able to with my brother.
