Tevon is growing
I took Tevon to the doctor today. He will be 2 months on December 24th. Today he weighs 12 lbs 8 oz and is 22.5 inches long. He is growing so fast. It seems like it took us forever to get him here safe and sound and now he just won't stop growing. He is smiling and is awake more. His old man skin is gone and now is a chunky monkey. Some days I find myself holding him and just staring. He is our last child. I am trying to soak up every minute we have with him. My good friend told me the other day to enjoy every minute, even if I am not getting any sleep. Sometimes it is so hard, but I wouldn't change it for anything. I am so thankful for this little man. I will post an updated picture hopefully tomorrow, but I know if I didn't hurry and write down his numbers I would forget. Ofa atu son!

I sure haven't been great at the blog lately. I'm not sure why. But I need to get a few thoughts down. This is only for my journaling purposes so please feel free to just skip by.
Sunday morning was rough for me. I was sad. Saturday night I went to bed sad. I was up every hour feeding Tevon. Not really feeding a lot. He only wanted to eat for about 4 minutes and then he just wanted to be held. If I would put him down he would cry. So by Sunday morning I was not doing too well. I was sad, tired, and not feeling really well. My kids were up and getting ready for church first. They are such good kids to do this. They came in my room and asked me if I was going to church. I said No. Then they asked if Tevon was going. I said No. Then my husband and my kids headed off to church. I thought I would be able to rest. Instead I found myself praying to Heavenly Father for some help. I immediately got the impression that I needed to go to church. So, Tevon and I went to church. We walked in to the chapel and found our beautiful family sitting with their arms folded and quite content. I immediately felt the Spirit and the tears would not stop. The program was beautiful. We are so blessed to be a part of the Koosharem Ward. It has taken me many years to believe that, but I truly believe that this is where we are supposed to be. Sunday after church, I took Braxton and Tevon to Richfield. I just needed some time with my boys and Tevita was willing to stay home with the girls. It was such a fun time. Visiting with Braxton was so great. He is finally at the age where he just gets it. This morning I woke up and thought I was going to have another bad day. These nights of not sleeping are getting quite tough, especially since I am also still attending school and full time working. However, a couple things happened today that have made me really think about how we live our lives. Like I said on facebook, I am so thankful for the angels that showed up today. We will forever be grateful. I talked to Tevita about it when he came home for a minute and he said, "Blessings show up when we least expect them." How true that is. Sometimes I get really frustrated with how much my husband is willing to give to others. He would give the shirt off his back and would also want us to do the same thing if it meant helpling others. He always tells me that no matter how hard life is, if we keep the Lord first, we will find a way to make things work. Over the years I have found myself starting to believe him. Tonight, I know he is right. I am so thankful for the Gospel in my life. I am so thankful for worthy Priesthood holders in my family. And I am thankful for Bishop Torgerson and the Koosharem Ward. Merry Christmas everybody.

Halamehi's Birthday
I am so slow at blogging these days but I need to blog about Mehi's birthday. On December 8, 2009 she turned 4 years old. I can't believe she is already 4! Somedays I feel like she is 4 going on 27! She is so smart and has a mind of her own. She is definitely the youngest sister. Her older siblings treat her like the princess. Just today she told me that Tevon is the Prince and she is the Princess! Mehi is such a great helper. I have enjoyed having her home with me while the other kids are in school. I learn something new from her everyday. She has such a sweet little spirit and loves to help others. Tevita and I took her to lunch and shopping for her big day. Then she was able to help Tevita and the other girls bake her a cake and they had a little birthday party eating cake and ice cream while I was at work. She had a great day! We love you little miss Mehi and are looking forward to many more birthdays with you!Oh, by the way, the picture of her with the shoe is just a little of her princess personality coming out. She loves to dress up during the day and she loves to pose for her picture to be taken! Love you little girl!

Kids Sacrament Program
Sunday was the Primary Sacrament Program. The kids looked so beautiful and they did such a great job on their parts. They made Tevita and I so proud. This was also Tevon's first time to church so we took some cute pictures. Kids, Mommy and Daddy love you so much and are so very proud of you and all you do! Ofa atu!
My Birthday
I woke up yesterday morning and took a shower. When I got out of the shower I walked into the room and there was my beautiful family all singing Happy Birthday to me. They were so sweet! Then we all spent the rest of the day together enjoying each other and having a great day. We stopped by the hospital to see Jaquel and the baby, Tevita gave the baby a blessing, and then we just spent the rest of the day together. It was such a good birthday and I am so thankful for a husband that knows exactly what I need and was willing to do that for me. I love you all and thank you so much for the great birthday!!
Baby Carter
My little sister just gave birth to a beautiful little boy on Monday November 16th. He was due in late December (I'm not sure exact date). She had moved home to be close to Dr. Brown. She went to see him(Dr. Brown) and he told her it would be best for her to go up north to see a specialist. Thank Heaven he sent her when he did. She was suffering from severe pre-eclampsyia and wasn't doing very well. They admitted her on Friday and she had him on Monday. It was really hard for me to see my little sister in that position. She was so weak and couldn't even open her eyes at one point in time. She was so tired and just didn't feel good. She was in a lot of pain and one point in time she said to me, "Jodi, I just don't want to die. What if I die?" I told her she wasn't going to die and that everything was going to work out...she just needed to have faith in the blessings that she had received. On Monday I stayed with her until about 4:00pm. I told her I needed to go feed Tevon and I would be back by 6:00pm. Well, while I was out eating and feeding Tevon Ralph texted me and told me that they were going to have him. So, I dropped Tevita and the kids off at the hotel and before I even got to the hospital(3 blocks) I got the first picture of my little nephew. He weighed 2 lbs 9 oz and was 15 1/2 inches long. He is doing so great! He hasn't even had to have any oxygen on. He is under the bili lights and not liking to eat but other than that he is doing great. Ralph and Jaquel are doing well. I'm so proud of all of them and can't wait until they can bring the little guy home! Love you guys!

Tevon is 2 weeks old!
Yesterday I took Tevon down to the doctor for his 2 week check up. He now weighs 7 1/2 lbs and is 20 3/4 inches long. His head is 14 but I don't remember what his head was when he was born(I don't think they told us). He is growing really well and is still the center of attention! The girls now time each other so they are all getting equal amounts of time holding him. I hope they are like this when he is in his terrible twos! Mehi of course wants to be in all the pictures with her little brother. She is so cute with him. She just likes to kiss him and take pictures with him...she doesn't really like to hold him. I had to put this picture of Vita with Tevon. I often find him looking at him like this. I wonder what he is thinking? I never ask him because I just enjoy the moment! I love you all!

I posted this post in a different site so I decided to copy and paste it to the blog so I would have it...I had our little boy on Saturday October 24th at 9:07 pm. I went into the hospital at 7am to be induced and had to wait until 3:00pm before they actually started the pitocin. I had to wait because there was another mommy trying to have a baby so they made me wait until she was done. When I got there she was at a 9 so they thought she would hurry and deliver and then I would get started. Well, after the whole day of her pushing and me getting antsy they finally decided to give her a c-section. So, at three they started me on my first dose. I was dilated to a 5. At 6:00 I decided to get the epidural. I was really torn about it because I knew that my blood pressure was going to go down but I decided I needed to get it so it would be a happy experience for me and my husband. The guy came to give me my epidural and he hurt me so bad! I have never felt anything like it. He kept poking me in this one spot but couldn't get it to go in. I told him probably because of my scar tissue from my other epidurals and I told him to stop, that I would just deal with the pain. He then decided to go down a notch and it worked. My blood pressure went to 60/40 so my nurse sat me up. I also had a fever which wasn't helping me feel good. After the epidural the doctor checked me and I was at a 7 and a little bit later the doctor came in and checked and I was ready to push. The baby was facing to the right and he kept trying to come out by my tail bone so I had to push a little longer than with my other kids. I pushed a total of 7 pushes and out came our beautiful little Tevon Jarod. He was perfect and so worth the wait. He scored a 9 and a 9 on his apgars and he weighed 6 lbs 14 oz and was born at 9:07pm(6 hours total labor). We are so thankful to have this little addition to our family. The picture of the kids outside is because they weren't allowed in the hospital room to see him so they had to meet him for the first time through the outside window. They were good sports though:)

Big Buck
Justin and my dad were telling Tevita and I about Braxton. He was telling them that he had been seeing a pretty big buck and showed Justin where it was at. Justin asked, "how many times have you seen him?" Braxton said, "A lot." Justin said, "No Brax, really how many times have you seen him?" Braxton said, "Once, but I have seen him every night in my dreams!!!" What a little stinker!

Braxton's Last Football Game for the year
Braxton's last football game for the year was last Saturday. Unfortunately, his team wasn't able to make it to the semi-finals. He is so bored!! We have been driving to South Sevier everyday except Sunday for the last two months. Now, he is so bored he is going nuts! He asks to go over and practice with his dad's team almost daily. Sometimes he goes, sometimes he can't go. He lost so much weight and is concerned about putting weight back on. He asked his dad if they could go running and punching the bag everyday. They are both excited about that! Braxton learned quite a bit and is looking forward to next year. His coach asked if him and his team could do the Haka for the last game so that is why he has the mohawk. Don't worry though, it is cut back to normal now! Thanks for a great football season Brax! We are so proud of you!!

Girls Last Soccer Game
Thursday was Lia and Sipola's last soccer game! They aren't excited about it but they sure had a great season! They only lost one game the whole season and they both did such a great job. It was so much fun having them on the same team. There were two games that only Lia and Sipola made the goals! They worked really hard and it was fun watching them together on the same team. Congrats to you girls for a great season! We love you and are glad that we got to watch you together!
Baby Shower
On Saturday a couple of my friends from Koosharem, Jen and Christina, threw me a baby shower. It turned out great and we got some really cute gifts. Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera. I sent it to South Sevier for Braxton's last football game so I did not get any pictures at the shower. I did take some pictures of the cute gifts though. Thanks to Jen and Christina for doing that. I felt silly having another baby shower since I had one when I was pregnant with Braxton but they insisted on doing it since "it had been 10 years since I had a boy"! They were so nice to do it for us and we really appreciate all those who attended and gave us such cute gifts! By the way, don't mind the pink paint. Tevita just hasn't had the time to paint Tevon's room so hopefully one of these days he will be able to get that done!!

About Me
- Tevita and Jodi
- Tevita and I met 13 years ago in Provo Utah. What a cutie he was! In June we will have been married for 12 years. It is hard to believe that we have been married that long but yep, here we are coming up on 12. We have 5 beautiful children that keep us pretty busy. We also have 3 angel baby boys that we know we will be with after this life. We have so many different personalities in this house but there is one thing for sure...we love each other and are grateful for this family! What a great life!
