58 Days
I just went on this cute little site that told me that I have 58 days to go until our little boy arrives. How exciting is that! I sure do hope and pray that he makes it here safely to us and all goes well. My friend once told me to quit worrying because sometimes our worries come true. Since I heard that I have tried really hard to be positive and not worry about things. I am, however, very thankful that I am surrounded by worthy priesthood members that will be there to bless me and this baby. That makes me very happy! I have a lot of housework to get done before the baptism next week but I decided that today I am just resting. Thanks to Vita and Mehi for resting with me and not having us work hard today. Now off to football practice we go!

First day of soccer
Lia and Pola have been anxiously waiting to start playing soccer. They were so excited to finally get to play last night. Lia scored the first goal for her team and their team ended up winning. They did a great job and it wasn't boring at all! Braxton's first year of soccer was so boring because he never wanted to play but the girls were all over it. Good job girls and good luck to you in your season!P.S. Can you believe all the RED that our kids are sporting around this year? It is so hard to see!!:)

For sure pregnant!!!

OK so here is the sign that I am for sure pregnant! While my husband and daughter are eating ice cream for dessert, I am eating sushi. It tasted so good. While I was eating it, my husband said, "you are definitely pregnant!" I have never liked any kind of seafood before but I am telling you, this sushi was so stinkin' good. I wish I was eating it now instead of posting it's picture!:)

First Day of Football
Today was Braxton's first day of playing tackle football. He played in South Sevier.(It is still hard seeing him in red. Anybody who knows Brax knows that he is a die hard BYU fan and he struggles wearing the red. He says to tell everybody that it is for South Sevier not Utah!) They played the North Sevier wolves. Braxton's team lost 24-0. He was so upset. I was so proud of him though. He had to be there at 11:00am. He was so excited. I asked him if he was nervous and he said no, just anxious. We got there and the 8th grade team was just loosing. Then the 7th grade team played. Dad and I were sitting on the bleachers dieing of heat. So at half time of the 7th grade game I took the girls and went for something to eat and some more water. While we were getting water dad called and said, "Well, they are bringing in the ambulance for a kid who has been laying on his back for 10 minutes now not moving." At this time all my emotions came and I just started crying. I couldn't get in touch with Tevita (He was coaching his football team in Kanab) so I called my friend, Heather. I asked her if I could have a pregnancy crying minute with her. Thankfully she listened to me cry and tell her that it just hit me that our son is now playing "big boy" football and what if he gets hurt? I wonder if I would have been as upset if I wasn't prego. I was concerned for the kid, I was concerned that Brax might get hurt, and I was concerned that Brax would be upset about the player and not want to play for fear of getting hurt. Well, at this point my girls started to cry so I had to buck up and quit crying and be strong. So, I got over by my dad and brother and thought I was being so tough and wanted to take Brax his water. Then the tears came again. I said, "it just hit me that I am wondering what we are doing." Justin said, "you are letting your boy live his dream." So I wiped my tears away and walked over to Brax so I could give him his water. I told him to come over to me but he said, "Mom, I need to stay on my knee until that player gets off the field." So, I gave him his water and walked away. He was fine. He wasn't worried at all about getting hurt. He just wanted the kid to get better and off the field so he could get playing. I worried for nothing! Well the 7th grade team won and we were so happy for them. Then it was Braxton's time to play. The refs asked for the captains to go meet with them and there was our son! I had no idea that he was a captain. Then the tears came again. I was so proud of this kid. Here he is a 5th grader playing on the 6th grade team and he got to be captain! I was so happy for him. I told dad and Justin, "I never knew football was so emotional!!" Then the game began. Brax and his team played some really good football, especially for their first game. They worked really hard, they just couldn't stop the running of the wolves. After the game Brax was a little upset. I was so proud of him for what he said. I asked him what was wrong and he said, "Mom, there is a rule that if a player cusses he has to go home and is not allowed to play. Well, if that is the case then why do my coaches cuss at us so much. Shouldn't they follow the same rule?" I tried to explain to him that it wasn't right for them to be cussed at but it is football and sometimes the coaches are going to let it slip out. He then wanted to call his dad and talk to him about it. So we waited to hear from Vita and I'm not sure what he told Brax but Brax is feeling better about it now and still wants to play. I am going to have to take pictures of all the bruises he has all over his arms. He looks beat up but he feels great! He said, "Well, I guess after that loss, we are going to have to work harder in practice on Monday." I hope he knows how proud of him we are and we love him so much. Good job Brax and we are looking forward to many more great games!

Sipola

Just a quick little note on my little Pola Bear. I took all the kids to school today and they were hurrying to get out and go in to the school. Pola looked back at me with a sad little face. I smiled at her but she came running back to the car. She opened the door and said, "I need a kiss." So I gave her a kiss and then she kissed my belly and said, "I love you Tevon" and then gave Mehi a hug and then got out again. Then she yelled at Brax and told him to have a good day. What a sweetie. Somedays Pola and I just don't get along. But today my heart melted. It was like she just needed that little bit of comfort to help her make it through the day. I love you Pola Bear. Thank you for helping my day go by better:)

Football
Well, we have been traveling down to Monroe every day for the last month. Richfield wouldn't let Braxton play tackle football in 5th grade but South Sevier was very excited to have him. It has been interesting for me. I hate the fact that my kids aren't in their normal routine for school because of the traveling we have to do. Braxton tells the girls sorry every night as we are driving home because he feels bad that they aren't in bed yet. However, watching our son improve so much is definitely worth it. I just keep telling myself it is not forever, it is just 3 months. We were so lucky to be able to take Brax to a football camp down in St. George. He learned so much down there and was so excited to be learning from the pros. Last night Vita and I were both watching Brax do the warm ups and then play. I was so impressed with some of the moves he was doing and he was even faster than anybody else. I asked Vita where he learned to do that and he said, "St. George football camp." Needless to say, we will be doing that camp every year! I always encourage Brax not to be the last guy running. Last night he was at the beginning of the pack every time they had to run. I am so proud of this kid and cannot wait to actually watch him in the games. He has his first game this Saturday. Unfortunately, Vita's first game is also this Saturday and wont be able to be there. But we will all be there cheering Brax on and we are so proud of him for playing his dream!!!

First Day of School

Today is the first day of school. I can't believe it is already here. We had so much that we wanted to do over the summer and it seems as though it came and went. The kids were so excited for school this year. Except Brax. He did not want to go. They all woke up early this morning and got ready. Sipola, who is always the first person to ask what is for breakfast told us she didn't want to eat breakfast because she gets to eat lunch at school. What a silly. I told her breakfast was the most important meal of the day and she needed to eat. So, she had a leftover piece of pizza. What a girl! It was such a good feeling to have family prayer this morning. Then Vita gave each one of them a blessing to start their school year. I love that. He does it every year with them and I feel like it just helps them. I love that I started my morning off with all the tears!:) At least they were good tears. So, Vita stayed and got ready for work and I dropped the kids off. They didn't want me to walk them into school. They just gave me a kiss and off they went. Mehi climbed into the front seat and said, "Well mommy, it's just you and me cuz the kids are at school and daddy is at work. I guess we should go shopping!" I laughed and told her, "No, I think we should go home and clean the house!" But instead we are here blogging with me typing and her sitting behind me doing my hair. I feel so bad for her but I think it will get better once she starts preschool and the baby gets here. I forgot to take a picture of the kids before they left so I will get one after they get home. For now I will just post a picture of them because I hate to blog without the pictures. Good luck kids on the start of a new year!

Grandma Christensen
My computer has been in the shop a couple of times and I haven't been able to download pictures. Well, today I finally got it figured out so I need to blog about my Grandma Christensen. On July 24th, she turned 101. What a woman! I think often about her and wonder why she is still on this earth. She prays daily to be able to return "home" but still she stays. She has taught me so much throughout the years. I was fortunate to be able to live with her when my parents got divorced. I loved every minute of living with her. She taught me so much and I loved sitting around listening to all of her stories. When I go see her now, I cry. I cry because sometimes she remembers me and sometimes she doesn't. She always remembers Tevita though. Before we got married I took him to meet her. She loved him instantly. She whispered to me that day something I will never forget. She said, "Jodi, I knew him in heaven. We were friends and I am glad he found you." I so believe that was true. There is a picture of her hands that I am blogging about. Look at those beautiful hands. They have been through so much hardship, but look at them. They are hands of a hard worker, of a loving mother, grandmother, great grandma, great great grandma. Those hands have made countless amounts of bread. Those hands have crocheted (sp) so many beautiful afaghans. Those hands are the hands that I used to hold when I couldn't hold my mom's hands. They have always been comforting to me. When we went over to celebrate her birthday I had a hard time letting go of those hands. I love her so much and am so thankful to have her be here still. I am sad for her but I know she is still here to teach us all some lessons. I love you Grandma!

Happy Birthday Sipola!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday to our beautiful little girl. Her big day was Aug. 13th and I am so sorry I am just now blogging. We have been so busy but her day was not forgotten. Vita and I took her to lunch and then she went shopping. She had some birthday money from Grandpa Rod and she wanted to go to the dollar store with it. I was so touched that as she was shopping, she had to buy for her brother and sisters first and then she bought her some stuff she wanted. Then Vita and I gave her some lip gloss and things for her and before she took any for her, she gave the sisters some first. What a kind heart this little girl has. Vita baked her a cake on Thursday and then made her pancakes for breakfast. She was so happy because he had to work that day but made her the cake before he left. Then when Vita came home from work and I had already left for work, Brax had put a bouquet of flowers and set up the table with birthday decorations and her cake and Vita and the kids had a party. They had such a great time and she was so thankful for everything. She is such a cute kid and I am so thankful to be her mommy! Happy Birthday sis, we hope you had a great day and we love you so much!

About Me
- Tevita and Jodi
- Tevita and I met 13 years ago in Provo Utah. What a cutie he was! In June we will have been married for 12 years. It is hard to believe that we have been married that long but yep, here we are coming up on 12. We have 5 beautiful children that keep us pretty busy. We also have 3 angel baby boys that we know we will be with after this life. We have so many different personalities in this house but there is one thing for sure...we love each other and are grateful for this family! What a great life!
