Braxton and Sipola

Last night we were at Braxton's baseball game. We started out at Lia's game which was from 5:00pm-6:00pm. We got to see her play first base and then she hit. We left Grandpa Rod with the girls and then headed over to see Brax. He was pitching when we got there. He did such a great job. He pitched for 3 innings and held the other team at 2. He has turned into such a great ball player and we are so proud of him. Well, the reason I needed to post this was because after the second inning Grandpa and the girls made it to the game. Brax forgot to take his water bottle so after the inning he ran to get a drink from the fountain. Sipola was so excited to see him so she ran over by him. When they were running back I looked at Sipola and she had slowed from a walk to a slow walk. Her smile had disappeared and I knew something was wrong. When she got to me I asked her what was the matter. She started crying and whispered to me, "Mommy, those boys just called my brother fat." I couldn't really hear her so I had her repeat it. She repeated it and then the really big crying came. I told her not to worry about what the kids say and she said, "He is not fat and it hurts my feelings to hear them say that." Tevita got her and she wouldn't let go of him. He kept telling her it was ok but she thought it was so wrong. We finally got her calmed down and told her to just ignore the kids. It broke our hearts to see this. She truly felt sad that somebody would hurt her brother that way. What a tender hearted little girl we have. I asked Braxton later if he had heard it and he hadn't. He told Sipola not to worry about it though. He said, "I am tough and it doesn't bother me."

I am glad to know that Brax is tough, but I would be happy to find those boys and make sure they don't talk that way again!!! I'm with your sweet daughter, why are people including children so cruel sometimes? It was good to see you last night if only for a minute. H

I just about cried when I read that. Your kids are amazing. Seriously. That kind of compassion is so sweet! I hope my girls can be like that...

Tevita and I met 13 years ago in Provo Utah. What a cutie he was! In June we will have been married for 12 years. It is hard to believe that we have been married that long but yep, here we are coming up on 12. We have 5 beautiful children that keep us pretty busy. We also have 3 angel baby boys that we know we will be with after this life. We have so many different personalities in this house but there is one thing for sure...we love each other and are grateful for this family! What a great life!
