Happy Birthday Braxton!!!!

Today is Braxton's 10th birthday! I can't believe that we have a 10 year old! He is such a great kid and I am so thankful to be his mom. Brax wanted to go up north and celebrate his day up there. We left on Friday and got back today. He wanted to go to Chuck-E-Cheese so that is what we did. Let me just tell you about the kind of son we have...at Chuck-E-Cheese you get to play a lot of games. The games you play spit out tickets when you are done playing so you collect all the tickets and then cash them in and "buy" a surprise when you are done. Well, the girls were so excited to be getting all the tickets and were planning on their prizes. I said, "I think we should let Brax have the tickets and buy the prize since it is his birthday." The girls agreed and when it was time to cash in Tevita took the girls to the car and me and Brax went to pick out his prize. On the way to the counter Brax said, "Mom, I am going to buy 3 crowns." I said, "Why would you want crowns, you're a boy?" Brax said, "Mom, I know I am a boy and I know it is my birthday but I want to buy the crowns for the girls. I know that will make them happy!" What a selfless young man we have on our hands. Brax does selfless acts like this all the time and he makes us so very proud. He has such a huge heart and would give the shirt off his back to anybody in need (which he has done several times:)). I love this kid so much. My mom used to tell me about the special bond she had with my brother. I never understood and she would say, "You will understand when you have a son. There is just something special between a mom and her son." I so understand what mom was talking about. He has grown up so fast and has taught me so much. He can't wait until the day he is taller than me and looks forward to learning how to drive(I learned how to drive when I was 10 so now he thinks he needs to.). Braxton is a one of a kind kid and always puts others happiness before himself. He is such a hard worker and loves spending time in Grandpa Rod's garden. He loves to hunt and fish and loves being a "jock". There is so much about Brax that I am so proud of and I could go on and on but I will keep it to this so I dont embarrass him too much. We love you son and are so thankful to have had you as our first born. You are such a good boy and we love who you are turning out to be. We hope you had a great birthday and look forward to many more! We love you son!

That story about the "3 crowns" was so sweet! That, right there, is when you know you have done somthing right as a parent! So... I have an 8 year old daughter. Maybe in the future we should hook them up! lol!

Hi Jodi! I keep losing your blog address but now it is saved to my favorites! I can't believe you have a ten year old. He sounds like such a sweetheart. I was so sad to read about the death of your twins but so happy you are pregnant. I will keep you in my prayers!
Love,
Amber

About Me

Tevita and I met 13 years ago in Provo Utah. What a cutie he was! In June we will have been married for 12 years. It is hard to believe that we have been married that long but yep, here we are coming up on 12. We have 5 beautiful children that keep us pretty busy. We also have 3 angel baby boys that we know we will be with after this life. We have so many different personalities in this house but there is one thing for sure...we love each other and are grateful for this family! What a great life!
