Wishing Pila was done with school!
Well, let's just say that last week was horrible! Monday I had to take all three girls in to the doctor to get their immunizations done. One of my friends in my last ward kind of scared me about the immunizations so I have been slacking on getting them done. We got notice that Lia had to get another one done to continue with school and Sipola had to get her kindergarten check up and shots so I just decided to get them all done while we were there. I also had the doctor check some things on me and he told me that I was anemic and a few other things. So, it wasn't the best appointment that I had been to. Then right after that, I took the kids to Dad's house and I headed to the dentist(which I am deathly afraid of). He gave me the shot and put the gas on me. Well, I passed out. I knew I didn't like that gas stuff! Then he was in a hurry and told me that I had one cavity that probably needed a root canal but he would just put a filling in it and see if that worked. I trusted that he knew what he was doing and I have never been in such pain in my life!! You know that feeling when you put tin foil on a filling? Well 10 times that feeling and that is how my mouth felt. It just kept shooting pain all night and I ended up not getting one minute of sleep. I told Tevita that I would rather have 10 babies naturally one right after the other than go through the pain that I was going through. At about 5 in the morning I had 2 towels in my mouth screaming at the top of my lungs with Tevita telling me we should go to the hospital so they could help take the pain away. I told him I would just wait until I could get into the dentist so at 7:30am we packed up all the kids and headed for the dentist. When we got there he gave me a shot and I waited for about an hour for him to come in the room and start working on me. He told me that I had already put him behind schedule because I didn't have an appointment so he would only do half of the root canal. He told me to take ibuprofen every 4-6 hours for the pain and schedule to come in as soon as I could. That was last Tuesday and I can't get in until Wednesday. My mouth hurts so bad and all I can say is, "I wish my brother-in-law was done with school so I wouldn't have to go through this anymore!" I think I might have to find a different dentist after this is all done, what do you think? We went to Cedar City for football camp on Tuesday and Saturday. It was really good to see the team work so well together. They won some and lost some but at least they finally got to play other high schools! Tevita has been limping pretty bad the past few days due to gout. It is so painful for him and I wish I could help him but it seems like nothing works. Saturday all the kids got really sick and I am trying to figure out if it is allergies or a cold. Brax is the worst out of them all and he sure doesn't do well being sick. It is driving him nuts! Tevita and Toni are at Flaming Gorge for campout this week. They will be back on Thursday and then they are leaving for Texas on Friday. Then they are going to Oklahoma on Saturday for rugby and then they are driving with Pila and Jamie back to Utah. It seems like whenever Tevita leaves, one or all of the kids get sick but hopefully they will get better soon. So, this is a long post but I haven't posted for a long time. Happy Birthday to Ami and Lita! We love you both!

About Me
- Tevita and Jodi
- Tevita and I met 13 years ago in Provo Utah. What a cutie he was! In June we will have been married for 12 years. It is hard to believe that we have been married that long but yep, here we are coming up on 12. We have 5 beautiful children that keep us pretty busy. We also have 3 angel baby boys that we know we will be with after this life. We have so many different personalities in this house but there is one thing for sure...we love each other and are grateful for this family! What a great life!

I'm so sorry you've been in so much pain. I hope you and the kids get feeling better. Dentists are no fun on a good day, let alone when you're in that much pain. Take care!
I second that motion and wish Pila was a dentist already!! I completely agree with you that tooth aches are so much worse than having a baby, of course having a baby is quick and tooth aches seem to last FOREVER!! I had a bad one when I was pregnant with Ofeina and I will never forget it!! I too think you should change dentists!!
Hey Jodi, sounds like no fun at all. What is your guy's address? I'll send you some Kyani, if Tevita takes it for a month, he won't have any more problems with his gout. We've given it to all of our family members with gout (aka all the guys) and they have had excellent results and still eat all their tongan food :) www.tupou.mykyanilife.com
Love and miss you guys, tell the kids hi from their Alaska cousins
OK.. your dentist is a tool. He should be sued for that kind of behavior. I've never heard of them sending you home a third of the way done with a root canal... you should definitely find a new one...even if you have to drive a ways. So sorry you had that awful experience!!! -d
